The Unite! Catalogue for Students now features internships

The Unite! Catalogue for Students now includes academic internships as a new learning opportunity that offers student mobility and international work experience. Whether you are a student looking to expand your knowledge, a teacher or course contact seeking to promote your course or programme, or a faculty member aiming to support students, the Catalogue for Students has been developed to meet your needs.

What’s in the Catalogue for Students?

Unite!’s ambition is to give students easy access to relevant opportunities in their fields across Europe. The Catalogue for Students supports this mission by collecting offerings from all nine Unite! partner universities in one central space.

The catalogue is organised into five main categories and features a keyword search function to help users find specific content. The categories include:

Courses
This category includes summer and winter schools, collaborative courses, online and in-person courses, blended intensive programmes (BIPs).

Joint Master’s Programmes
These programs offer integrated and multi-institutional degrees such as joint master’s, double degree and multiple degree programmes which lead to a degree award.

Internships
A curated list of international internships avaiable to Unite! students.

Unite! Doctoral School Offerings
Optional doctoral courses selected from partner institutions’ doctoral programmes. These include both hard and soft skills courses, exclusively available to UDS doctoral students.

MOOCs
A curated collection of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) from partner universities aligned with Unite!’s focus areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, Industry 4.0,  Space, Sustainable Cities and Water, Sustainable Energy and Engineering Biology (including Biotechnology).

Extracurricular Activities
Beyond academics, Unite! offers a variety of extracurricular activities: the Unite! Seed Fund, fairs, ideathons, poster contests, webinars, and more.

The Catalogue for Students is primarily for students. It is a one-stop shop for both academic and extracurricular offerings from all nine partner universities. Many offers listed in the catalogue are also promoted through Unite!’s official Instagram page and Instagram stories.

Apply now for ESA 2026 and speak up for your generation

Do you want to make your voice heard across Europe and help shape its future? Join the European Student Assembly (from April 20 to 22, 2026) in Strasbourg. Applications for the 2026 edition of the European Student Assembly now open until 2 November.

The European Student Assembly is the flagship initiative of the EUC Voices Erasmus+ project. Each year, around 250 students from all across Europe meet at the EU Parliament in Strasbourg to debate the most pressing issues of our time.

The objectives of the European Student Assembly (ESA) are to give a voice to engaged and motivated students, strengthen connections between European University Alliances, promote participatory democratic processes, and encourage youth involvement in European political life.

Participants of ESA 2026 will collaborate on eight key debate topics and produce a collection of policy recommendations. The Assembly will be followed by a series of dissemination events bringing together stakeholders and decision-makers, where students will advocate for and share their proposals with actors from various levels of government, companies, NGOs, and other organisations active in European political life.

Debating topics

  • Panel 1—Strengthening democracy, engaging citizens: How can the EU bridge the gap between its institutions and its citizens to build trust and foster civic participation?
  • Panel 2—Scaling the circular economy: How can the EU overcome uneven progress and encourage change across sectors and societies?
  • Panel 3—Aligning budget with impact: How can the Union’s funding rebalance and adapt to the social changes?
  • Panel 4—Europe moving together: How can the EU develop an inclusive public transport system?
  • Panel 5—Unlocking digital potential: How can the EU empower inclusive digital literacy and cybersecurity and build resilience?
  • Panel 6—Educating without borders: How can the EU support universities in fostering interdisciplinarity?
  • Panel 7—Enabling generational solidarity: How can the EU address demographic change and promote meaningful participation for older generations in society?
  • Panel 8—Europe’s strategic autonomy: How can the EU reconcile strategic autonomy with its core values in the field of trade agreements?

Selection process

  1. After 2 November 2025, the list of eligible applications will be shared with all European University Alliances.
  2. Each alliance will review applications from its member institutions and propose a shortlist of around five students.
  3. The ESA Organising Team will then review these lists to ensure geographical, disciplinary, and gender diversity.
  4. Final selections will be communicated to the alliances and then to the selected students.

Improve your language skills with U!Language Tandems

Sign up by October 30 and expand your network with Unite! Language Tandems.

Language Tandems offer you the possibility to practice any of the Unite! languages with another student from the Unite! community. It is a great opportunity for you to develop speaking skills in a language you want to improve in, while also meeting other students and widening your international network!

How does it work?

Sign up by 30 October 2025 on the Language Tandems Metacampus space. Use your institution login.

You will be paired up with a Unite! student who matches your language interest. The Tandems will be matched on an ongoing basis and should be finalised by November 7, 2025. Please note that the matching depends on the offer and demand of the participants. The Unite! Language Tandems team will try to form as many tandems as possible.

Unite! promotes international internships to boost student mobility and employability

Included in the Unite! Catalogue for Students, the initiative aimed at enhancing student mobility and offering valuable international work experience within the alliance’s research ecosystem.

Recognising the importance of international exposure and the value of confronting students with a real-world, global research environment, Unite! universities are committed to expanding training opportunities across Europe. These internships are designed not only to complement academic learning, but also to strengthen key skills that increase employability in a competitive, global job market.

Unite! Internships include Curricular and extracurricular internships; Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and PhD research stays. All internships are conducted in research centres, institutes, or departments affiliated with Unite! member universities.

The project coordinators highlight that this programme empowers our students by giving them meaningful experiences in international research environments, while also contributing to the shared European mission of innovation and sustainability.

Through this initiative, Unite! continues to foster a collaborative European education space, where students are encouraged to explore, grow, and engage in addressing today’s global challenges.

Become part of SURE (Students in Unite! for Representation and Empowerment), the student-led body representing the voice of learners across the Unite! university alliance. We’re currently looking for students and doctoral candidates from Wrocław Tech to join this international forum.

We’re Looking for You!

We encourage applications from students and PhD candidates who:

  • Are currently enrolled at Wrocław Tech,

  • Have a minimum english proficiency level of B2,

  • Are active in student life, student organizations, or international projects,

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively in diverse environments,

  • Are ready to attend regular online meetings.

Twice a year, SURE representatives from across the alliance meet in person for Dialogues—week-long gatherings hosted by one of the partner universities. The next Dialogue will take place this October at Aalto University in Finland. These meetings are where key decisions about the direction and priorities of Unite! are made.

How to Apply

To participate in the open call, fill in the application form where we’ll ask about:

  • Your current study status and academic background,

  • Your experience within the Wrocław Tech community or in student/international initiatives,

  • Your motivation to join SURE.

Selected applicants will be invited to an interview conducted by current SURE representatives, with support from the Student Liaison Officer.

HSMA Course – Hydrogen and Safety for Mobile Application

A new course for the next generation of engineers about energy transition and hydrogen technologies.

Are you ready to join the hydrogen revolution?  In September 2025 the course “Hydrogen and Safety for Mobile Application” will train the next generation of engineers to navigate the energy transition, by focusing on hydrogen technologies and safety in mobile applications like cars, buses, trains and in the field of aerospace.

Through a blend of theoretical instruction, real-life case studies, group projects, and international collaboration, participants will gain competencies in evaluating, designing, and managing hydrogen-powered vehicle systems in compliance with safety standards and environmental requirements.

The HSMA course will be delivered in English, combining one week of online classes with another week in-person in Turin, Italy, at Politecnico di Torino.

Unite! Online Language Café: Learning languages outside the classroom

The UOLC is an extracurricular peer-to-peer activity to use, practice and deepen language knowledge in a safe environment. The room will be regularly open for two hours every second Wednesday 16:30-18:30 CET.

Unite!’s multilingual and multicultural environment provides an excellent setting for informal language learning which, based on language learning theories, can occur unconsciously and incidentally outside the classroom setting through interaction with native speakers or exposure to authentic language. The Unite! Online Language Café (UOLC) is designed to do just that – easily accessible and voluntary. It fosters informal interactions to promote and encourage students to use and learn all Unite! languages. The UOLC is an extracurricular peer-to-peer activity to use, practice and deepen language knowledge in a safe environment. Students from diverse academic backgrounds gather and decide in which language(s) they want to communicate and exchange ideas and intercultural experiences. The room will be regularly open for two hours every second Wednesday 16:30-18:30 CET.

In the UOLC as proposed here, students meet on a platform for an authentic intercultural communication which is facilitated by student tutors. The trained student tutors’ role will be to explain the idea of the Language Café, introduce topics, encourage communication and clear misunderstandings. To reach the objectives the UOLC will create a model, the didactic concepts, training material for student tutors (speaking all nine local Unite! languages Catalan, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, Spanish and additionally English), an evaluation process and select an appropriate platform. Once finalized, the virtual UOLC will be a sustainable project which raises awareness of linguistic diversity and encourages autonomous learning. The model will easily be adapted to other contexts and target groups.

I have made many great experiences with Languages Cafés in various forms: It was and still is on of the best ways to use your language skills in a safe and relaxed space.

And that’s what’s in it for the students

• The Unite! Online Language Café is an informal learning environment that provides a non- binding activity to use languages in a peer-to-peer setting and to raise awareness of the opportunities provided by Unite!.

• Students are engaged in using languages in a safe environment without grades and testing.

• Students are supported in developing autonomy in language learning as they are not following exercises and instruction from teachers, but engage in meaningful and real-life encounters in (a) different language(s).

• The UOLC creates the chance of developing intercultural competences as people with different backgrounds interact and discuss various topics.

• Students get involved with peers from other Unite! partners. These encounters can lower the threshold to engage in virtual or physical mobility within Unite! and promote exchanges n a trans-European campus.
