Green Transformation: A joint initiative of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and Ukrainian universities.
The Green Transformation Project in Ukrainian Universities was initiated by Wrocław University of Science and Technology, thanks to which the Unite! consortium has invited seven Ukrainian universities to collaborate. The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The project was implemented throughout 2023, with continuation in 2024.
Objectives:
- Developing green standards for Ukrainian universities in the field of educational and research activities in engineering and technical sciences, as well as creating a localized version of these standards considering the specifics of Ukrainian universities.
- Developing a green campus model and implementing standards in research, teaching activities, and campus operations.
- Supporting the Ukrainian academic community by engaging partner institutions in regular activities under the UNITE! Erasmus+ program, in the work area “An Open Innovation Community for the Green Transition.”
- Creating and implementing a micro-certification system for Ukrainian students in the field of green transformation.
- Establishing ongoing collaboration between Ukrainian universities and the Unite! network, facilitating the country’s rebuilding process after the end of the armed conflict.
