The Unite! Alliance is pleased to announce the opening of the call for the Unite! Seed Fund 2025, a fund designed to support innovative and collaborative projects among the alliance’s member universities. This fund offers financial support to students, researchers, and professors who wish to initiate joint initiatives between at least three Unite! universities (and at least two for student proposals), encouraging collaboration and excellence in education, research, and innovation.
Research&PhD and Teaching&Learning proposals must address on the Unite! Focus Areas: Sustainable Energy; Artificial Intelligence; Industry 4.0; Entrepreneurship; Engineering Biology (and Biotechnology); Space; Cybersecurity; and Sustainable Cities & Water.
Proposals will be evaluated based on their overall quality, sustainability and long-term perspectives, and potential impact.
The 2025 Seed Fund call includes three categories:
Student Activities Call
Deadline: The deadline for contacting Unite! Student Liaison Officer in each university is 6 March 2025.
The deadline for presenting the proposals is March 20, 2025.
Available budget: Up to €20,000 per project, with a total of €100,000 available to fund proposals involving at least two Unite! universities.
Objective: Funding for collaborative projects that bring value to the student community, such as exhibitions, events, competitions, hackathons, or extracurricular activities in any format (in-person, hybrid, or digital).
Virtual matchmaking event: February 11, 2025, 14:00 – 16:00 CET.
Deadline: March 20, 2025
Available budget: Up to €80,000 per project, depending on the number of participating universities, with a total of €230,000.
Objective: To promote the creation of joint teaching programs, especially at the master’s level, focused on Unite!’s focus areas areas.
Virtual matchmaking event: February 12, 2025, 14:00 – 16:00 CET.
Deadline: March 20, 2025
Available budget: Up to €80,000, depending on the number of participating universities, with a total of €350,000.
Objective: To foster collaborative research in strategic areas such as Energy, Biotechnology, Cybersecurity, and more, with projects involving at least three Unite! universities.
Virtual matchmaking event: February 14, 2025, 13:00 – 15:00 CET.

Individuals planning to submit an application are required to submit a signed internal document, i.e., the Individual Project Application (Annex No. 1a to ZW 2/2023), to the Project Department before the planned submission date of the application documentation.

Student projects must be submitted to the Student Liaison Officer (SLO): Katarzyna Sławińska-Oleszek.
Upon completion and implementation of the project, applicants are strictly required to submit a final report with photographic documentation. The final report must be delivered to the International Relations Center office. The IRC will forward the document to the Project Department at PWr, which will serve as the basis for the proper settlement and closure of the Seed Fund initiative.
