Postgraduate School: EU Excellence in Language &#038; AI Tech"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The establishment of educational frameworks that seamlessly connect master&#8217;s and doctoral studies is the main goal of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unite-university.eu\/unitenews\/pioneering-european-excellence-in-speech-language-and-ai-technologies-the-unite-graduate-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Graduate School for Excellence in European Speech, Language, and AI Technologies<\/a> initiated by the Unite! network. It will be able to accommodate up to 120 doctoral students.<\/h2>\n<p>The idea to establish the Unite! postgraduate school emerged in 2019 during the Interspeech conference held under the theme &#8220;Crossroads of Speech and Language.&#8221; During the conference, the convergence of three rapidly evolving fields was emphasized: speech science, language technologies, and artificial intelligence. Attention was also drawn to the significant presence of the four major European language families &#8211; Romance, Germanic, Slavic, and Uralic.<\/p>\n<p>It was then proposed to create the Unite! postgraduate school, which would focus on European excellence in speech, language, and artificial intelligence technologies. Education within its framework will stand out not only due to its comprehensive scope but also because of the exceptional assembly of renowned professors. Currently, there is no other thematic cluster like this in the academic world.<\/p>\n<p>This prestigious project received funding from the Seed Fund in both thematic areas: for teaching and learning, as well as for research and doctoral studies.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the project, focusing mainly on doctoral research, includes a smooth transition from joint master&#8217;s studies to doctoral studies within the Intensive Programme and a dedicated platform for doctoral recruitment. It also focuses on applying for greater funding from the &#8220;Horizon Europe&#8221; program in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The second part of the project, dedicated to teaching and learning, describes education at the master&#8217;s level, identifying opportunities for student and teacher exchanges within existing programs, and designing an integrated and innovative master&#8217;s program with established Erasmus+ program structures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1109,"template":"","class_list":["post-1780","successtory","type-successtory","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/successtory\/1780","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/successtory"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/successtory"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1109"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1780"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
