{"id":3687,"date":"2026-05-20T15:22:30","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T15:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/?p=3687"},"modified":"2026-07-08T12:23:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T12:23:11","slug":"unite-at-eu-parliament-foreu4all-community-engagement-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unite.pwr.edu.pl\/en\/unite-at-eu-parliament-foreu4all-community-engagement-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Unite! at EU Parliament: FOREU4ALL community engagement workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mb-4 row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12\">\n<p class=\"description\"><strong>Four representatives from Unite! will take part in the event to address key challenges in community-building and fostering a sense of belonging within European Higher Education.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>On 2 and 3 June, the European Parliament will host the\u00a0<strong>FOREU4ALL workshop<\/strong>\u00a0titled\u00a0&#8220;<strong>From Campuses to Communities: Enhancing Engagement and a Sense of Belonging in European Universities<\/strong>.&#8221;\u00a0This initiative features a prominent contribution from the Unite! alliance in both its conception and coordination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Barbara Guyomarch<\/strong>, Coordinator of Professional Development and Training at\u00a0Unite!,\u00a0has been instrumental in proposing and organising this meeting in her capacity as\u00a0<strong>Chair of the FOREU4ALL\u00a0Faculty &amp; Staff Engagement Working Group<\/strong>, alongside\u00a0<strong>Giovanni Andriolo<\/strong>\u00a0(UNITA),\u00a0<strong>Chair of the\u00a0Students Engagement Working Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in this international workshop will enable the alliance to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acquire\u00a0practical tools for the implementation of institutional change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop joint strategies to enhance the engagement of the university community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthen the collaborative network and ties with other European alliances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Unite! delegation<\/strong>\u00a0will be composed of\u00a0Barbara Guyomarch (Grenoble INP-UGA), Benedetta Genaro (TU Darmstadt, Elisa Hausherr (Grenoble INP-UGA), and Anna Hejno (Wroclaw Tech).<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"objectives-of-the-foreu4all-workshop\" tabindex=\"0\">Objectives of the FOREU4ALL Workshop<\/h3>\n<p>European University Alliances currently face the challenge of\u00a0consolidating\u00a0the involvement of students, faculty, and administrative staff, as well as ensuring visibility, inclusion, and a genuine sense of belonging across their campuses.<\/p>\n<p>In this context,\u00a0<strong>FOREU4ALL<\/strong>\u2014the collaborative platform bringing together all 73 existing European alliances\u2014is organising this working space based on peer learning and co-creation. The event will gather\u00a0<strong>140 participants\u00a0representing\u00a060 alliances<\/strong>, with the aim of designing at least\u00a0<strong>15 replicable actions and strategies<\/strong>\u00a0to improve institutional commitment.<\/p>\n<p>The sessions will be organised through parallel breakout groups addressing the following key areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strengthening the sense of belonging<\/strong>:\u00a0Exploring shared values, interpersonal relations, and the role of Europe in fostering community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Improving awareness<\/strong>:\u00a0Enhancing local visibility and articulating the strategic value of European University Alliances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Overcoming mobility barriers<\/strong>:\u00a0Promoting inclusion and diversity to ensure\u00a0equitable\u00a0access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Boosting motivation through recognition<\/strong>:\u00a0Valuing and celebrating contributions across the different collectives within the alliances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Concrete opportunities for individuals and institutions<\/strong>:\u00a0Translating the strategic value of the alliances into tangible benefits for the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This workshop\u00a0represents\u00a0a strategic action to drive meaningful impact both within Unite! and across the wider European Higher Education Area.<\/p>\n<div class=\"more-information-unite bg-light text-decoration-none p-4 mb-3 rounded-4\">\n<div>\n<p><strong>You can find the programme here<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/foreu4all.widening.eu\/workshop3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/foreu4all.widening.eu\/workshop3<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four representatives from Unite! will take part in the event to address key challenges in community-building and fostering a sense of belonging within European Higher Education.
