Research School 2026: Inspiring the Next Generation of European Engineers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mb-4 row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12\">\n<p class=\"description\"><strong>From 11 to 15 May 2026, more than 200 master\u2019s students, PhD candidates, researchers, professors and administrative staff will gather with industry representatives, for interactive sessions and engaging lectures for the third edition of the Unite! Research School (URS).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>This edition is organised by Politecnico di\u00a0Torino<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0the school will start and conclude at\u00a0PoliTO\u00a0main campus, while the key courses and activities will be held at the Santuario di\u00a0Oropa, an inspiring venue\u00a0located\u00a0in the heart of the Alps.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 URS\u00a0will\u00a0focus on\u00a0<strong>three major thematic pillars<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Digital Transition<\/strong>, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence,\u00a0Cybersecurity\u00a0and Industry 4.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Energetic Transition<\/strong>, with a focus on Sustainable Energy, Smart Cities, and Water Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enabling Technologies<\/strong>, with a focus on Space Technologies and Biological Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"cite-unite border-start border-light-subtle border-5 py-2 ps-3 mb-3 h5\">\n<div class=\"mb-1\">\n<p>\u201cThe URS is a successful tool to create a real ecosystem among students, researchers,\u00a0innovators\u00a0and companies within the targets promoted by\u00a0European Research Area\u202f(ERA).\u00a0It\u00a0facilitates\u00a0networking for early career researchers by involving doctoral students in an\u00a0enjoyable, multidisciplinary learning experience\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<footer class=\"text-secondary d-flex align-items-center\">\u2013says Eugenio Brusa,\u00a0Scientific Coordinator of\u00a0the\u00a0URS 2026<\/footer>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u202f<strong>Unite! Research School<\/strong>\u202foffers a unique mix of\u202f<strong>scientific excellence<\/strong>, combining expert lectures, transferable skills courses, networking sessions, a forum with industry leaders, research facility and industrial visits, and a team case study. It is also a motivational track designed to inspire\u00a0Master\u2019s\u00a0students to engage in PhD research.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"strong-involvement-from-industry-partners\" tabindex=\"0\">Strong involvement from industry partners<\/h3>\n<p>As in the\u00a0previous\u00a0editions, companies are playing\u00a0a central role\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0URS 2026. Leading companies\u00a0will engage with students through keynotes, panel discussions, and company visits,\u00a0providing\u00a0a first-hand insight into real-world engineering challenges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Follow the week with #URS2026\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>When and where:\u00a0<\/b>The event is organised by\u00a0<b>Politecnico di Torino<\/b>\u00a0and will take place from\u00a0<b>11 to 15 May, 2026<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Who can apply<\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>Master&#8217;s and PhD students<\/strong>. As in previous editions, each Unite! member university selects approximately 20 students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>How to apply:\u00a0<\/strong>Registration will be available on\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/metacampus.unite-university.eu\/course\/info.php?id=190\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Metacampus<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>starting\u00a0<b>16 February, 2026<\/b>. The deadline to apply is\u00a0<strong>15<\/strong>\u00a0<b>March, 2026<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Selection<\/strong>: Once applications close, the candidate lists will be distributed to member universities on the afternoon of\u00a0<b>16 March<\/b>.
