Unite! is calling on its students to present innovative, socially-committed projects at the XI Unite! Dialogue in Barcelona (28th February). This is your chance to inspire future scientists and engineers across Europe by mentoring secondary school students and contributing to meaningful societal change.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"parent-fieldname-text\" class=\"\">\n<p>Unite! promotes social responsibility at the heart of academic life and encourages initiatives that drive sustainability, inclusion, and innovation. We&#8217;re looking for tech-driven projects that reflect these values and have the potential to engage secondary school students, sparking collaboration and future projects in schools across the Unite! Alliance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What projects are we looking for?\u00a0<\/strong>Unite! will select scientific and technological projects that could lead to active engagement with society and that have the potential to inspire new collaborative projects in schools within the Unite Alliance! The selected projects will be presented in a hybrid session to secondary school teachers, who will attend the XI Unite! Dialogue in Barcelona. They will afterward have the opportunity to meet and collaborate on these projects to develop them with pre-university students at their high school.<\/p>\n<p>The selected projects will be presented in person at the next Unite! Dialogue in Barcelona, 25-28th February 2025, during a morning session on\u00a0<u>Friday 28th<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<u>maximum of 3 students per project<\/u>\u00a0will be able to travel to Barcelona and take part in this initiative to present their projects and act as mentors for secondary school students. Additionally, all participants will be recognized for their participation with a Unite! Open Badge.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, all the projects that are proposed and meet the criteria will have the opportunity to be displayed on the eTwinning and Unite! websites.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/school-education.ec.europa.eu\/en\/etwinning\">eTwinning<\/a>\u00a0is an online platform that connects schools across Europe, enabling them to collaborate on educational projects in a secure digital environment, and it will serve as a resource to inspire new initiatives for pre-university students based on the projects presented during the Dialogue.<\/p>\n<p><u>Requirements for submitting a project:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scientific-technological project:<\/strong>\u00a0The subject of the project must be scientific-technological. We are looking for a specific project already developed or in progress at the date of the call, so that the specific results can be presented during the event.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social impact:<\/strong>\u00a0The project must be presented in such a way that it highlights its potential social and community impact as well as the attraction to STEAM studies, in general. Projects should be presented so that they can arouse the interest of pre-university teachers to inspire projects with younger students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Innovation and creativity:<\/strong>\u00a0Initiatives that present innovative approaches to solving social problems and that promote the use of accessible and sustainable technologies will be particularly valued.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Potential for implementation at the pre-university level:<\/strong>\u00a0Preferably, projects should have the potential to be adapted in pre-university contexts, offering options for implementation at different levels.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Availability:<\/strong>\u00a0Selected projects will be presented in person at the XI Unite! Dialogue in Barcelona.
