The positions will start in the winter semester 2026\/27.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Unite! Visiting Professorship Programme aims to attract\u00a0outstanding international talent,\u00a0fostering\u00a0interdisciplinary teaching and didactic innovation\u00a0through global exchange.\u00a0It is open to all subjects\u00a0represented\u00a0at\u00a0<strong><a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tugraz.at\/en\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TU Graz<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The appointment is expected to cover the lecture period from\u00a0<strong>1\u00a0October 2026 to\u00a031\u00a0January 31\u00a02027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"target-group\" tabindex=\"0\">Target group<\/h3>\n<p>The programme primarily targets\u00a0<strong>experienced postdocs<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0appropriate terminal\u00a0degrees, teaching\u00a0experience\u00a0and relevant academic\u00a0expertise. The\u00a0<strong>deadline\u00a0for the expression of interest\u00a0is\u00a020 February\u00a02026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The award\u00a0comprises\u00a0a flexible combination of teaching and research activities, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teaching a minimum of one course (or multiple courses) four semester hours per week (one semester hour = 45 minutes) within one of TU Graz\u2019s programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Advising or supervising advanced students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing joint research projects in collaboration with faculty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The format and content of courses, as well as research\u00a0objectives, will be negotiated on a consensual basis with the host institution,\u00a0taking into account\u00a0the needs of TU Graz and the grantee\u2019s\u00a0expertise\u00a0and interests.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"financing\" tabindex=\"0\">Financing<\/h3>\n<p>For\u00a0winter\u00a0semester 2026\/27, the two Unite! Visiting Professorship\u00a0positions are fully funded by TU Graz. These positions are intended for full-semester appointments. Visiting professors will be employed by TU Graz for the duration of the semester under an employment contract\u00a0with a monthly gross salary of \u20ac6,968.20.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"expression-of-interest\" tabindex=\"0\">Expression of interest<\/h3>\n<p>Interested candidates\u00a0are invited to\u00a0explore the<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tugraz.at\/en\/faculties-and-institutes\/overview-faculties-and-institutes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0faculties and institutes of TU Graz<\/a>. Once an institute is\u00a0identified\u00a0that aligns with the desired area of interest, candidates are encouraged to directly contact the head of the institute, briefly introducing oneself and providing a proposal for the envisaged teaching and research activities at TU Graz\u00a0<strong>by\u00a020\u00a0February 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following documents should be attached as a single PDF:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A brief motivation letter (half a page)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A short description\u00a0of the courses you intend to teach at TU Graz (half a page each)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>An\u00a0academic\u00a0CV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A doctoral certificate (and postdoctoral qualifications, if applicable, for teaching at the professional level)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"more-information-unite bg-light text-decoration-none p-4 mb-3 rounded-4\">\n<div>\n<p><strong>Submission of application by TU Graz contact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a match was found,\u00a0TU Graz academic contacts wishing to\u00a0establish\u00a0a Unite!
